Access control and attendance systems

If your company has a large number of employees and you wish to have a strict control over staff in certain access areas, as well as a related record (on your PC using a dedicated software), we recommend implementation of an electronic access control and attendance system.

Access control systems can be used to both prevent unauthorized access into certain areas and keep a record of employees having access to certain rooms.

The system requires employees, upon entering controlled access areas, to use magnetic or proximity cards, access code keypads, fingerprint or iris readers.

An appropriate software can be installed in the system to control the flow of individuals and goods. The control systems for access ways management that our company offers are the ideal solution for companies having many employees.

The access control system can be interconnected with an intrusion and/or fire alarm system and can operate various functions (lights on/off, ventilation, air conditioning etc).

An access control system includes the following:
• Access control unit
Is the main unit managing access control points, command units, readers, locks, and electromagnetic door locks.
The access control unit receives information from readers or keypads, restricts or allows access to certain areas, memorizes information received from readers and keypads, keeps a record and displays (using a dedicated software) access date, time, and location, as well as the individual that requested and received access into the controlled area.
• Magnetic card reader
The magnetic card is read when passed through the reader’s slot or in front of the magnetic reading head. In order  for the magnetic card to be read, it must touch the reading head, which is why after a certain period the card and the reading head will become worn.
• Proximity car reader
The proximity card is read when kept at a certain distance from the reader. The reader and the proximity card are not subject to wear and tear. Theoretically, this type of system can only be rendered inoperative by physically destroying the card and reader.
• Access keypad
Is the classic element of a security system, requiring the user to enter a code (a combination of numbers); it can be used independently or in connection with a card reader to increase security. In standalone access control systems, the keypad is used for programming the system’s operating parameters.
• Fingerprint or iris reader
By memorizing and comparing the users’ fingerprints or irises against those in the database, the system will allow or deny access into controlled areas.
• Electromagnetic Yale lock or electromagnet (magnetic lock)
Blocks/unblocks access doors, as indicated by the control unit.
