Fire alarm systems

Through their violent manifestation, fires represent a constant danger to humans and goods. Risk of fire is far greater than anyone can afford to take.Fire danger is everywhere and may cause direct and long–term damages, but the most important aspect is protection of life.

If, from the point of view of material damages, some people find the risk of fire easier to deal with, when we think of the loss of human lives we are forced to approach this risk more seriously and take fire prevention measures by installing a safe and efficient fire detection and warning system.

In the case of private houses, it is sufficient to connect fire detectors (smoke, temperature, gas etc.) to the intrusion alert unit. For more complex constructions (offices, stores, warehouses, banks, crowded buildings etc.) we recommend installation of dedicated fire detection and warning systems.

Depending on the detection mode, destination, and area of the objective, fire alarm systems can include the following equipment:
• Conventional fire alarm unit
Is a specialized equipment for monitoring status signals transmitted by the fire detectors (smoke, temperature etc.), having manual fire warning buttons connected to the fire alarm unit. The conventional fire alarm unit will be chosen depending on the functions offered and the number of surveillance areas required to protect the objective.
Recommended for surveillance of small and medium–sized objectives.
• Addressable fire alarm unit
Virtually has the same functions as the conventional fire alarm unit, the difference being in the connection of fire detectors, reading, and interpretation of information transmitted by detectors to the alarm unit. Advantages of this alarm unit are: identification by the alarm unit of fire detectors, permanent monitoring through the fire detectors of areas where they were installed, the possibility to connect a very large number of detectors (fire buttons, warning sirens or lights, and fire extinguishing modules), low probability of false alarms.
Recommended for surveillance of medium - sized and large objectives.
• Fire warning buttons
For manual activation of the fire warning system, evacuation, and notification of fire extinguishing intervention teams.
• Smoke detectors
Detect smoke caused by various materials that caught fire (wood, paper, plastic etc.) and transmit the information to the fire warning alarm unit. Fire detectors are optical or with ionization chamber.
• Temperature detectors
Detect any unusual rises in temperature in protected areas (temperature rises above a predefined level or over a short period of time). Temperature detectors can be individual or integrated in smoke detectors.
• Gas and carbon monoxide
Detectors permanently monitor the area under surveillance for gas leaks. These detectors can be installed on the ceiling or walls, can detect only a certain type of gas, or can be combined (methane, ethane, butane, propane, and carbon monoxide).
• Addressable modules
Are used as interface for connecting addressable alarm units and conventional detectors. Through these modules, either conventional (smoke, temperature) or other types of detectors (gas, carbon monoxide, flood etc.) can be connected to the addressable alarm unit.
• Sirens and optical signal devices
For local fire warning.
• Electromagnets and blocking elements
Block the doors in order to limit drafts in case of fire, as indicated by the fire alarm unit.
• Storage batteries
Keep the system in operating order in case of a power cut.
